Scope and operator

This document describes the current data handling of the WordPing mobile app and wordping.site. WordPing is a TheFabrika product. Operator and contact details appear at the end of this page.

Information kept on your device

Language and notification settings, detailed learning history, answers, review dates and downloaded content are stored on your device. The current version does not back up your full answer history to the cloud or sync it across devices.

Information sent automatically

The app may send a technical snapshot to the WordPing server on launch, on returning to the foreground and when connectivity recovers during active use. Ordinary repeat uploads are limited to 15-minute intervals. The snapshot includes a random installation ID; device model, platform, OS and app version/build; connection type, reachability and potentially expensive-connection flag; selected languages, level and daily goal; notification permissions/status; aggregate answer and learning counts; and the times, types, target text and translations of up to 50 upcoming notifications.

How we use it

Technical snapshots are used to investigate notification and connectivity issues and manage content distribution and app operation. Learning notifications are scheduled on your device. An installation record is not a real name or verified person. Campaign records verify promotional access and prevent repeat claims for the same access.

Intended audience

WordPing is designed for adults aged 18 and over and is not a child-directed service. The current app does not request an age or date of birth and does not verify age. This audience statement does not mean that children cannot access the app or that no child-related data could be processed. Information the app does not send

The app does not send your phone number, IMEI, serial number, advertising ID, contacts, location, Wi-Fi name, BSSID or MAC address. The random installation ID is not a hardware identifier. Notification permission is not recorded as separate consent to technical data processing.

Service providers

The RevenueCat SDK uses a random installation-based app user ID to retrieve offerings and access status; campaign and store access may also be verified through that service. Apple App Store or Google Play also participates in purchase, payment and subscription management. WordPing does not request or store card details. HTTPS traffic passes through Cloudflare and hosting infrastructure, which may process IP addresses and request information. The application database does not store raw IP addresses; this does not mean infrastructure logs contain no IP addresses. No ad network or separate third-party analytics service is connected.

Legal basis and international transfers

Technical snapshots are sent automatically; the current version has no separate on/off control for these uploads. The applicable legal basis, required notice or consent in each release market, and safeguards for transfers outside Türkiye are assessed under applicable law.

Retention and backups

Technical installation records are removed by periodic cleanup after 90 days of inactivity. The last seven daily database backups are retained, so deleted technical records may remain in those copies until rotation. Separate review-event logging is not active on the server. Campaign/access records are separate from technical record deletion and currently have no automated expiry cleanup. Retention periods for Cloudflare, hosting, RevenueCat, store and support records depend on the provider and legal requirements; their exact inventory and deletion schedule are set by those providers and applicable law.

Deletion and controls

Use the Content and technical data screen in Settings to delete this installation’s server technical record. An offline request is retried after connectivity returns; new technical uploads pause while deletion is pending. Deletion is not a permanent opt-out: a later automatic update may create a new record after deletion completes. It does not delete local progress, RevenueCat access or a store subscription. Website, sharing and speech

The introduction site stores only its language preference in browser local storage. The admin panel uses a secure session cookie; viewing the public site does not require that cookie. Achievement images are generated on your device. You initiate sharing to other apps, whose own policies apply. Pronunciation uses the device speech service; network use and voice-data handling can depend on the selected OS speech engine.

Rights and release review

Depending on applicable law, you may request information or access, correction, deletion, restriction or object to processing through the contact below; verification may be required. Türkiye requests are handled under Law No. 6698 and its applicable procedures. The international-transfer mechanism, controller-response workflow and obligations across worldwide release markets are handled in accordance with applicable law.
